Fireside Chat & Reception

Fireside Chat: The Election is Over. What's Next?

As part of our Family Business Month Celebration, The Legacy Centre welcomes you to a Reception and Fireside Chat: "The Election is Over. What's Next?"

Have we ever had such a controversial election in American history? The election is over, but still there is uncertainty, anxiety, and downright frustration over the future of our country, lives, and businesses. From the White House to Wall Street, change is in the air. What’s next for America, your family business, and our children?

On November 30 at our next Fireside Chat, we will tackle this question with a panel of experts moderated by Tennessee State Representative Jason Zachary. Join us for a conversation among friends about how the outcome of the election affects issues like taxes, succession, estate planning, banking, financial and investment strategies, healthcare and employee benefits, business ownership and growth, and other challenging questions.

Make plans to join us for a lively discussion and hors d'oeuvres! Prior to our panel discussion, we will host a reception for members and guests to connect and socialize. Please be advised that seating is very limited. There is a nominal charge of $25 for non-members.

Meet the Moderator: Representative Jason Zachary

ZacharyRepresentative Jason Zachary currently serves the 14th District in the TN state legislature. He also is the co-owner and vice president of Americomm, a telecom family-owned business in Knoxville. Rep. Zachary began to feel the Lord calling him to serve his country in 2011 and was elected state representative in August 2015. Jason believes in a foundation in God, family, the constitution, limited government, economic freedom for businesses and individuals, and stewardship of resources. He is is not afraid to stand up for his convictions and is passionate about returning our country to a government by the people and for the people by being a servant leader to the people he represents in Nashville.

As a small business owner in a company founded by his father 24 years ago, Jason also brings a business minded approach and almost two decades of private sector experience to his job in the state legislature. As such, Jason understands the hard work and sacrifice that is needed to grow a business as well as the burden of high taxes and increasing healthcare costs.

Zachary lives in Knoxville with his wife of 16 years, Holly, and their son Tyson. Jason is a partner with the Center for Christian Statesmanship on Capitol Hill and is a board member of Western Heights Baptist Center and International Sports Consulting. They are members of First Baptist Concord in Knoxville where he serves as a deacon and stewardship committee member.

Note: The Legacy Centre's Fireside Chats is a series of intimate gatherings for business owners to talk among friends about things that matter. In the spirit (but not necessarily his philosophy) of FDR's Fireside Chats on the radio during the Great Depression, we address current affairs and other complex issues that raise real concerns. This is a perfect opportunity for family-owned and closely held business owners to ask questions and seek advice.
