The Subject:

The Apocalypse of Healthcare Reform:
Building Strategies to Weather the Storm

We know that the American healthcare system needs to be reformed. Costs continue to rise faster than virtually any other segment of our economy. Many employees have had their benefits squeezed to the point where necessary care may be deferred while potentially larger health problems loom on the horizon. Many of our valued employees are financially strapped with little or no savings for their portion of ever-increasing deductibles and out of pocket maximums they cannot even estimate much less afford.

While the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act addresses some of these concerns, there is much lacking! Lost in the talk of individual mandates and medical loss ratios, etc., is the fact that most employees do not even know how much a recommended procedure will cost them, much less their employer. As a result, they continue to make poorly informed decisions about the incremental cost of more expensive alternatives weighed against the advertised benefits.

This seminar will address the importance of:

  • Helping your employees build the necessary financial disciplines to weather the storm of rising healthcare costs,
  • Understanding the underlying economics of health insurance,
  • Creating a strategy to lessen your dependence on health insurance to solve these problems, and
  • Providing your employees the assistance they need to make informed, cost-effective decisions in purchasing their healthcare services.
