We are honored to announce Larsen Jay as our special guest speaker on Thursday, September 5, at Chesapeake's! Larsen is the Founder of Random Acts of Flowers, currently serves as Knox County Commissioner (At-Large, Seat 10), and is running for Knox County Mayor.
 

On September 5, Larsen will share the powerful story of how his focus shifted from success to significance following a tragic life-changing accident that led to a thriving national nonprofit and a heart for public service. Larsen will discuss his vision for Knox County. Be ready, there will be plenty of time for Q&A as Larsen wants to listen to what is on your hearts and minds as well. Bring your ideas, questions, concerns, and perspectives!

Meet Our Speaker: Larsen Jay

Larsen JayLarsen Jay is serving in his second term on the Knox County Commission (At-Large / Seat 10), having been elected to represent all Knox County residents, first in 2018 and again in 2022, and served as Commission Chairman during the 2020-21 legislative session.

Born in San Antonio, TX on Lackland Air Force Base, Larsen Jay is a two-time graduate of the University of Tennessee, earning a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Business Administration. Larsen has made Knoxville home for 30 years and has a diverse background in business, philanthropy and civic engagement – working professionally as an Emmy Award winning film and television producer, founder and CEO of the national nonprofit Random Acts of Flowers, and now serving as the Director of Business Alliances for the national professional services firm PYA. 

Larsen’s community service and civic engagement has had a lasting impact on our community having served on numerous nonprofit boards, honored as a member of the inaugural class of the KNS’s “40 Under 40,” a graduate of Introduction Knoxville, Leadership Knoxville and Leadership Tennessee, and the founder of Movies on Market SquareEast TN Chili Cook-Off, and Holiday’s on Ice, the ice rink on downtown’s Market Square. 

Alongside his wife (Adrian) and sons (Henry & Alexander), Larsen and his family are members of St. John’s Episcopal Church downtown and live in the West Hills neighborhood.
