The Legacy Centre Speaker Series with Dr. Bradley Greene
"Seasons of Leadership: Embracing the Wisdom of Solomon" presented by Dr. Bradley Greene, Founder & Principal, Sixeight
Happy New Year! We are extremely excited to kick off 2025 and TLC's 15th Anniversary Celebration on Tuesday, January 21, with one of our all-time favorite speakers, Dr. Bradley Greene! We look forward to sharing this celebratory year with you as we focus on seasons of life, business, and leadership. Come join us!
King Solomon wrote the biblical book of Ecclesiastes at the end of one of the most “successful” lives ever lived by human measurement. The Byrds famously wrote about Ecclesiastes in their song Turn, Turn, Turn, and hammered into the American psyche these words, “there is a time to every purpose under heaven”.Seasons come, seasons go. Blessings and challenges await us at every turn. Do you know how to recognize, trust, and respond to the gift each season brings...even the hard ones that test our faith?
As business leaders, it is important that we recognize and learn how to respond to the different seasons of life, of business, and of our own personal growth as leaders. As we enter into 2025, with all of the changes in our world and in our lives, it is a perfect time to stop and reflect on where we are in each of these three areas. Understanding our season allows us to focus on the things that are most important in that moment and will impact how we spend our time and how we lead our management teams and our businesses as seasons change for generations to come.
Join us on January 21st! Dr. Brad Greene, a gifted business advisor and innovator, will walk us through these seasons and offer wisdom, encouragement, and practical steps for navigating your current season.
Note: This is an in-person event with a full breakfast. To help us reserve the appropriate number of seats and food, please ensure your registration is firm. Thank you!
Meet Our Speaker: Bradley M. Greene, PhD
Dr. Bradley Greene is the founder and principal of Sixeight, a Knoxville-based investment firm that owns and operates high growth companies. Dr. Greene’s background in large-scale business transformation and corporate re-engineering has helped him build a structured approach to building businesses that are poised for accelerated growth. Sixeight has a long-term outlook on the businesses in which they invest, looking for stable, profitable companies that haven’t yet met their highest potential. The team at Sixeight can provide capital, talent, and strategy to accelerate and manage business growth, with a particular focus on family businesses that are looking for a regional solution for their succession plan.
Dr. Greene’s background in change management and corporate reorganization has taught him the value of building strong cultures that can support growth. The best innovation emerges from high-performance teams. Dr. Greene’s passion for building healthy, high-performance teams in the business world is founded on his athletic career, in which he was privileged to be a part of some very successful teams. Brad was a part of the University of Tennessee (UT) baseball teams that won back-to-back Southeastern Conference Championships and placed third in the 1995 College World Series. Following his career at UT, he went on to graduate school at the university where he completed requirements for his Masters and Doctorate in Industrial Engineering. His specific area of research was in the application of the Toyota Production System principles to types of businesses other than the high-volume automotive business (i.e. low volume aerospace manufacturing).
Upon completion of his studies at UT, Brad went to work with Nissan North America in the Supply Chain Management group, where he was able to experience the application of Japanese principles of business and manufacturing first-hand. In 2004, Brad left Nissan and began a consulting practice that specialized in major business transformation using the principles of the Toyota Production System. Over the next 15 years, he added to that foundation by starting a marketing group, a business innovation group, and a fractional executive service called the GridWell Group, Pedal, and Blueriver Advisors.
In 2005, Brad had an experience that totally reshaped and redirected his life, when he worked with Operation Christmas Child, a project of the Samaritan’s Purse. He led a team that streamlined the system for processing the millions of shoeboxes that flow through their national Processing Centers each Christmas. This experience had a tremendous impact on Brad, because it opened his eyes to see how his faith could be more fully integrated into his work. In 2019, he formed Sixeight with the vision of integrating the foundation of faith into the private equity space. Currently, the company is working as an operating partner for four companies and is continuing to evaluate new opportunities.
In Dr. Greene’s career as a professional advisor, consultant and change agent, he has led over 25 major business transformation initiatives that have generated more than $2.5 billion of increased value in the companies he has served. Brad’s core passion is helping companies unleash the latent creativity and innovation that exists within the people of their organizations. The common thread of Dr. Greene’s professional career is leading these types of initiatives, whether as an internal operator or an outside consultant, in a manner that requires working cross-organizationally, cross-functionally, and with all levels of the organization: from the front-line to the Board room.
Dr. Greene resides in Knoxville, TN, is married to his wife Julie, and they have three children and a son-in-law, Hannah (23) (and Alex Hart), Jacob (21), and Sarah Katherine (16).
