We are excited to offer Ramsey's new & improved Financial Peace University (FPU) at The Legacy Centre again this fall for business owners and their spouses, their employees, and even their kids! What to Expect:
Financial Peace University (FPU) is a nine-week class on money taught by America's most trusted financial guru, Dave Ramsey. Dave and his teaching team will walk you through how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more!
Our fall semester FPU class will meet for an hour and a half each Tuesday for nine weeks beginning September 5th and ends November 7th (no class on October 31). For the first half of each class, Dave Ramsey will teach on DVD. During the second half, class members will come together for a small group discussion, case studies, and hands-on activities. Like in our Life Groups, members of the class will support and encourage each other as they work to change their financial futures. (Note: While the class will be a confidential environment, you will not be required to share personal information.)
With your family's class registration, you will receive one year of access to Financial Peace University and three months of access to the premium version of the EveryDollar budgeting app. You have two class options ($79.99 or $99.99) depending on whether you want a hard copy of the class workbook (see below).Whether you are a millionaire or you're struggling to make ends meet, FPU has something for you. Meet Your Lead Class Facilitator: Stacy Cox
Stacy Cox, Principal, President and Founder of Studio Four Design, holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee and has been a vital leader in the growth and development of the company since its beginning in 2002. In his work, he prioritizes and helps cultivate an environment where team members are free to ask questions, solve problems, and collaborate with one another.Stacy became a Ramsey Solutions Certified Financial Coach in 2023 after having a life-changing experience in Financial Peace University, which set him up in a favorable position to start his business over 20 years ago.
Stacy is a recent graduate of Leadership Knoxville’s class of 2023 and is currently the Chairman of the Board for SEED International, Inc. a non-profit Christian organization that equips individuals and communities in Haiti and the Dominican Republic by partnering with them in education, entrepreneurship, and development projects.
Stacy is an avid golfer, reader, movie-goer, and has recently discovered the fun and challenge of solving puzzles. When not at home in Knoxville, you might find him enjoying his favorite vacation spot, Hilton Head, SC. Stacy’s also dreaming of a trip to the Holy Land to walk where Jesus walked, and a trip to Scotland to play golf at St. Andrews, tour castles and distilleries. Stacy is married to Sara and they have two children and a granddaughter.
Financial Peace for Kids:
Want to make a real difference in your child's life? Based on your feedback, TLC also will offer one of two financial classes for our members' kids this fall alongside the FPU Nine-Week Course. Cindy Seaver, President of The Legacy Centre and an FPU graduate, will lead the next gen component. Cindy loves kids and has extensive experience in leading both children and teens to a greater understanding of and relationship with God at Emerald Youth Foundation, camps like Camp Ba Yo Ca and FUGE Camps, and other missions and church work.Please let us know your preference along with your kids' ages:
Financial Peace Junior (for children ages 5-12) includes cool tools for teaching kids how to handle money. Your kids will learn how earning money works, how to save and pay cash, how to have fun spending on a plan, and the importance of giving. Foundations in Personal Finance (for teens ages 13-18) is a new Scripture-based curriculum for middle and high school kids. By teaching your students wise money habits early, you'll change their lives forever. Give your teen the practical tools and behavior change that will set them up for a lifetime of financial peace!
